PRESENTERS

For the presenters, we are looking for either an hour of content or two hours of content. During the segments, we need you to come to a good breaking point where we can add a segment for the sponsorship videos. If you are doing an hour segment, we need you to leave a five second black screen at the thirty minute mark so we can drop in a sponsor advertisement. If you are providing a two hour segment, please leave a black screen at thirty-five minutes, one hour, and one hour and fifteen minutes.

When Dwalt Media is filming the segments for Rod Walters, we will have Dr. Rod looking into the camera and leave room on the side of the image so we can overlay his graphics / slides. He will be speaking into the camera the entire time and have his slides that he’s referring to right above the lens so he can reference them during his talk. We will also be recording his presentation screen so we have the slides ready to add during editing. I’ll be using a cinema camera (specifically not a camcorder, dslr, or live event camera) at 23.98 and attempt a shallow depth of field in the background. During editing, we will sometimes go full screen with he graphics, sometimes just Dr. Rod, and sometimes him with the images to his right or left (will decide during filming). With these segments, we are attempting to raise the bar of how our content looks and sounds for the viewers.

If you are a part of a university, reach out to your schools media production department to have them film you, record your audio, or assist with editing the video meets the requirements above. You can likely borrow an audio recording device and microphone if you need it.

Below are some example shots of how the final edit for Dr. Walters will be. (this isn’t Dr. Walters…simply an example). I included this simply so you can easily show whomever is video recording your segment so they have an idea of what ours will look like.

Details for video IF someone is shooting it for you:

-1080p

-23.98fps

-cinema camera (not a dslr, camcorder, or live ENG camera)

-codec .h264 with CBR at 8.0

-clean audio with lav or shotgun mic

-do not add music anywhere

-reminder of the 5 seconds of black throughout the segments (1 hour just one at thirty minutes and 2 hour one at thirty-five minutes, one hour, and one hour and fifteen minutes).

If you are not looking to film your talk you have the following options:

-Record your screen at the same time you are recording your dialogue and have them sync’d up for the content video to display your slides as you talk. Please adjust all slides to fit the 16x9 crop opposed to the 4x3 crop. There should be no black bars on the left and right of your slides. I’ve included THIS LINK to show how to adjust your 4x3 presentation to 16x9.

-Submit a live, pre-recorded talk you have given with the approved content. The slides need to be legible and clear and preferably the slides would cut in and out as you are speaking opposed to us seeing the slides on a projector as you are speaking.

SPONSORS

For sponsors, we need a five minute presentation video that we are able to drop into the segments of content. If you have any questions about these segments, please ask. If you have a few different advertisements already created and you need someone to put them together to fill the five minute time, I will happily organize these for you. Simply email me all the links in a dropbox folder and include any details of which is first, second, etc. If you are in need of any production for these five minute spots, please let me know and we can work on producing the content for you.

The five minute length for online information videos lends itself to an introduction to the product, demonstrating real life use, real-use feedback from customers that found success with the product, and different pricing options available. There is plenty of room in five minutes to give a deep look into what this product can accomplish where when creating a social media advertisement, you really have to get to the point fast. Again, if you need assistance or have questions about best approach, my email is david@dwaltmedia.com and phone number is 803-240-2085 and will be reachable almost 24/7.
