About DWALT Media Why I’m uniquely positioned to do this work +

I’m based in Durham, North Carolina, and through DWALT Media I’ve produced hundreds of videos bringing complex medical, academic, and institutional ideas to life. My work spans cinematic storytelling, brand design, 3D animation, patient education, recruitment films, and long-form documentary pieces for medical professionals and programs. I operate a full-service production setup capable of producing high-impact work with quick turnaround — but more importantly, work that is intentional, cohesive, and clear.

My perspective is shaped by a lifetime around athletics and medicine. My father was a head athletic trainer at the University of South Carolina, and I spent years embedded with the football program as a manager and later working directly in athletic training environments. My wife is also an athletic trainer. Growing up inside that world gave me an intuitive understanding of medical systems, mentorship dynamics, and performance culture. That background — combined with years of professional media work — has shaped a unique ability to take complex systems and translate them into stories people immediately understand, trust, and remember.

What you’re building

A formal, multi-year support system that treats mental and academic development with the same rigor as physical training. Student-athletes from NC counties with the greatest workforce need are guided into medicine, dentistry, nursing, research, and related fields.

What DWALT provides

Embedded creative partnership. I build the brand foundation, document the real work, and ensure the program is consistently understood by students, mentors, leadership, and funders.

Why this works visually

The story is inherently cinematic: the crossover from sport to scrubs, the assist from mentor to student, the transfer of confidence. The role of media is to make that legible in seconds.

Year 0 — Brand, Identity & Hero Narrative

Establish visual authority, narrative gravity, and institutional credibility.

Deliverables

  • Primary logo system + secondary lockups
  • Color palette, typography, and visual standards
  • “Assist” visual language (continuous-line system)
  • Templates for decks, recruiting, social, and video
  • Brand documentation for long-term consistency
  • Flagship 60–90 second hero video

Outcome

This phase gives CRISM ASSIST its weight. Leadership, funders, and partners immediately understand what the program is, why it matters, and that it is real.

Core narrative anchor
The Assist: athletes succeed through coaching and systems. This program becomes the assist that turns talent into a healthcare career.
