It’s Pink Balloon is about trying to find happiness or direction in a world that has turned upside down. Life-changing moments, mental spirals, and the fragile hope of something bright floating nearby. Sometimes that balloon is all you have.

This piece was special for me because it was the first time I was dealing with mental illness, stress, and being completely overwhelmed. I had just come out of surgery from a bad motorcycle wreck, had lost most of my vision, and was stuck on a couch for a week, and went days without sleeping due to the medications.
