“Kidney Stone Surgery”
Through the magic of 3d animation, I have the ability to film doctors while they explain the process of surgeries, treatments, and other medical plans so they can allow the patient to use the video to really understand their medical situation. Seeing truly is believing. I also have the ability to translate the spoken audio with the voice of the actual docotor (see here).
“The Power of Inclusion”
Video created for UNC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to display how the culture of inclusion really looks and feels while part of the programs.
“UNC: Forward Together”
UNC School of Medicine walks us through how they have accomplished various wonderful initiatives throughout the past five years with their Forward Together initiative.
“A Seat at the Table”
UNCA story of a two way wonderful relationship that gives hope.
“First Year”
Sharing the feelings and thoughts of that very first year in a new residency program is quite powerful.
I will connect with one or more of your first year residents and have quarterly updates with them to document their first year and edited down to a short documentary type video about ten minutes long.
My team and I will set up filming times throughout the year to check in and discuss various topics to help future residents get a glimpse at what life is like as a first year resident and / or newcomer to the area.
“Unleashing Potential: A Doctor's Inspirational Journey Towards Change and Innovation”
An empowering video series that delves into the personal and professional journeys of doctors from diverse backgrounds. Each episode offers a deeply personal insight into a physician's life, their motivations, the hurdles they faced, and the innovative approaches they brought into medical practice and education. This series showcases how these inspiring individuals pushed boundaries, challenged conventional norms, and made significant contributions to their field. By spotlighting their stories, we hope to inspire viewers and encourage a new generation of medical professionals to make their own positive impact in healthcare.
Highlighting Programs and Initiatives
Multiple wonderful programs have commissioned me to tell the story of what they are working on. Every time, I learn the heart of what they do and deliver a beautiful short film capturing the heart of what they are doing.
“Recruitment Video”
This video is 5-7 minutes and helps the viewer understand the big picture of the program in a well organized packet.
Introduce the leadership (Program Director, Chair, chief residents, Program Coordinators, etc).
Highlight major social stances, unique program opportunities, etc.
Display the various environments they will be expected to work in and around.
Display the unique atmosphere the residents and staff create.
Display the feeling of being a Resident at UNC.
“UNC SANE”
We worked with the UNC SANE nursing crew to create a campaign to encourage more people that experienc seuxal abuse to come in and be treated. We pushed to make the viewer feel supported, feel safe, feel loved, and know they are going to be treated like humans and recieve top notch care. This team is amazing.
“Zoom Magic”
Here’s an example of using various zoom recordings to create a very attractive and watchable video to raise awareness of the Covid vaccine during pregnancy.
Take any quality recording and make very engaging to watch.
Create opening scenes, transitional elements, and atmosphere to give the video a fun yet professional style.
At 1:40, you can see how we turned text into a visual object to keep people engaged.
“Unique Aspect”
This video follows a person or two and shows how they are using their training in an out-of-the-box sort of way to show the flexibility and freedom the program has to offer.
People think they are aware of all avenues available when they get trained in a field but its great to see real life ways that people are doing fascinating things in the field..
Great opportunity to show off what someone has created while chasing a needed solution.
“Awesome Information”
This video is 3 minutes and helps the viewer digest ideas, thoughts, rules, etc in a fun, professional, and modern way so that it reflects the quality of the program.
Animation is a great way to take a powerpoint or a jumbled collection of thoughts and created a concrete product out of it.
Sound and color and movement help folk’s stay interested and attentive (even if they may be the among the most brilliant folks in the world!!!).
These videos could replace monthly newsletters, common program themes, patient understanding for procedures, etc.
I have multiple voice over folks that sound wonderful. We can take your powerpoint or paragraphs of information and turn them into a 3 minute video you can easily send to folks instead of trying to explain in detail over and over.
“Walkthrough”
Many of you have equipment, special spaces, new spaces, specific working areas, etc that you would like the viewers to know exist. These spaces are beautiful and very attractive.
I will work with your team to make a script, record dialogue speaking, and film the various locations and ideas the space needs to show off.
We will use gimbals, drones, and all sorts of magical equipment to make your space look superb.
“Social / Community Stances”
These beautiful videos show folks within the program proclaiming their stance on social issues, community involvement / support, and any other unifying asset your program stands behind that makes them who they are as a program.
This works great with a ton of people from your program so we can hear from all folks from the top down on various issues.
This works great when we want to express the programs stance on some sort of social issue or highlighting their shared love for a specific thing.
“Milestones”
This video can celebrate any milestone wether it’s the 10th year the program has been at UNC, the Chair celebrating a length of time at UNC, or even an update on the way to a new milestone.
This video is priced higher because we will digest the story, the people involved, and tie everything together to properly document the historic moment.
Any time there is a reason to celebrate a milestone, it gives us another chance to re-state our stance on education, our stance on the future of medicine, and the future of medical leadership.
“Paper Animations”
This video would be around 3 minutes and potentially be used to connect real life to practices represented in these fun animations.
We use paper, clay, glitter, glue, artist drawings, and digital animation to help folks digest and absorb ideas instead of passing them over.
This could be used for ideas people want their patients to absorb or help a stressful or difficult explanation have some levity in it’s understanding.
The artist is a local UNC grad and has done dozens of TV commercials with me in the past.
