Storytelling & Digital Content Proposal

Prepared for the Board of Urban Ministries of Wake County

Why This, Why Now

Urban Ministries has a strong new website and a 45-year story worth telling. What the rebrand needs now is the content that brings it to life: video and photography that show donors, grantmakers, and the community the real impact of the food pantry, the Helen Wright Center, and the clinic. With federal and state funding under pressure, individual giving and grants matter more than ever, and compelling video is the single most effective tool for both. This proposal is not a marketing expense. It is fundraising infrastructure the organization owns permanently.

What Urban Ministries Receives

  • Anchor Brand Film (Months 1–2). A 2–3 minute flagship video telling the hunger, health, and home story through real clients and staff. Built for the website homepage, donor events, and grant applications.
  • Program Video Suite (Months 2–3). Three 60–90 second videos, one each for the Food Pantry, the Helen Wright Center shelter, and the Clinic & Pharmacy, plus short vertical cut-downs of each for Instagram and Facebook.
  • Photo Library (Month 3). A full-day professional photo shoot delivering 150+ edited images the organization owns outright, for the website, social media, print, and grant materials.
  • 90-Day Social Media Kickstart (Months 3–4). 20–25 short vertical clips cut from all footage, ready-to-use post templates, and a posting calendar staff can run in-house without outside help going forward.
  • Year-End Giving Campaign Video. A dedicated fundraising appeal cut from project footage, delivered ahead of the November–December giving season when it matters most.

Investment

Total project cost: $25,000

Covering all production days, editing, licensing-free music, and full ownership of every asset. Payment is structured in three installments tied to phase completion, keeping cash flow manageable for the organization. All raw footage and final files are delivered to Urban Ministries and remain its property with no ongoing fees.

The Return

One video that helps land a single major donor or grant covers this entire investment. Every asset produced here continues working for years: on the website, at galas, in grant packets, and across social media. In a tightening funding environment, the organizations that tell their story best are the ones that keep their doors open.
